Right Of Way Clearing

Right Of Way Clearing

Roadways require upkeep to perform over time. In summer, vegetation can grow to the point of choking off driveways and access roads. Rain and heavy use can also create drivability issues such as wash outs and potholes. In the winter, snow removal on roads and driveways is often necessary. We can provide all these services to maintain access year-round.

For Utility clients, right of way clearing for power lines and pipelines helps to ensure reliable service, control service costs, and protect people and property.

One of the major causes of power interruptions and outages are trees and vegetation that come in contact with power lines. Trees or brush that touch electric lines can create short circuits that cause your power to go out.  During storms, nearby trees often fall across lines causing outages by breaking lines or short circuiting them. Without regular right of way clearing and maintenance, line crews can be unable to locate or access the problem, which means it takes longer to make the necessary repairs.  Also, trees and brush that touch power lines actually waste electricity by providing a path for it to flow into the ground, instead of into our homes and businesses.

Also, especially during dry conditions in the summer months, a spark from trees and brush touching power lines can cause fires.  Trees and brush can also conduct electricity.  If surrounding vegetation is in contact with high-voltage wires, it can be fatal to someone touching it.
